Well, lets see Evie competed in her very 1st Strawberry Festival pageant and won the title of Countess, and Best Dressed ( Thanks MeeMee) in a Tulle dress made to look like one great big strawberry!!! Then this past weekend April17th, Mom and I took Evie to Austin to compete in her 1st Universal Roylaty pageant..... well in the paper work it had said, sunday best... THEY LIED, we lost to babies in makeup fake lashes and press on nails!!! but hey ya live and ya learn... we got to spend 2 GREAT days with our wonderful cousins, Dena and Lindsay and Lindsays daughters lilly and jessie grace!!! and then to top it all off, before heading back to houston were able to have lunch with our long lost cousin SHONDA!!!! whom we hope is having a safe and happy RV journey!!! so anyway we return home on monday and put on evie's new shoes from the meemee and whaaaaalaaaa.... we put evie down and off she goes..... we aren't complely mobile but more than ever and without moms hands!!! so that is our big deal right now!!!

Tee Tee in the Potty!!!!

As You can see we are EXTRA EXTRA EXTREMLY PROUD!!! Evelyn has now had 2 success on the potty!! daddy and I decided that we would put her on every morning and then again at night before bath!!! and I'll be danged if she hasn't been doing GREAT!!! I think she does it just to see mooma do the tee tee dance!!! LOL... But hey whatever it takes!!!!!! Wish US ALL Luck and we will keep you all posted!!!

RIP Sweet GG!!!

We sadly write that our Sweet GG has passed, Cris' Grandmother, Evie's Great Grandmother and My beloved Friend has gone to be with the Lord!! Our family has spent MANY hours with our Sweet GG over the past year as Evie has grown up! and Evelyn or Lilly as GG called her totally LOVED her!! as you can imagine how difficult this time has been we would like to send a very special Thank You out to MeeMee and The NANA for the Beautiful flowers and Phone calls and MeeMee an extra special Thank You to you for taking care of Baby Evie!!

Well Ladies and Gentlemen she did it again!!!! Evie had a Pageant Sunday March 7th at Mall of the Mainland in Texas City where she competed for Tiny Miss Sunburst.... AND WON!!!!! not only did she winn the Overall title but Most Photogenic as well!!! so what now you ask: STATE FINALS MAY 28 AND 29TH!!!! So Please come out and support MONKEY!!!!

Weekend at MeeMee's

SO EVIE SPENT THE WEEKEND AT MEEMEE'S... AND ALL ANYONE COULD SAY , WAS... SHE IS VERY CLINGY!!!

WELL DUUUUHHHH

AFTER ALL SHE IS A MOMMA'S GIRL!!! AND WORDS CAN NOT EVEN EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVED THE LOOK ON HER FACE WHEN I WALKED IN THE DOOR!!! THAT RIGHT THERE WAS THE 2ND BEST PART OF BEING A MOM, EVIE'S LAUGH AND SMILE ARE THE 1ST!!!

WELL NOW THAT THE WEEKEND HAS PASSED, WE ARE MOVING HEAVEN AND EARTH TO HAVE AN EXTRA SPECIAL 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! JUST THINK CIRCUS CIRCUS!!! MAN WE GOT STUFF EVERYWHERE!!! GOODIE BAGS ARE DONE! DECORATING WITH STREAMERS WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!! AND PARTY PARTY PARTY SATURDAY!!! WE SURE HOPE YOU WILL ALL MAKE AN APPEARANCE!!! GOD BLESS AND HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

Wow... 1 year ago today I was on bed rest Praying that all would be well... and NOW... I sit here watching a beautiful HEALTHY little girl pull herself up, crawl around, and stack blocks by herself! Evelyn has brought so much JOY and and Happiness into our lives the past year!

Evie took 3 steps on her own, but when i started screaming she fell.. LOL and since then when she stands up and i am around all we get is a laugh!!! and did i mention this laugh is the BEST ever!! Cris and I are in total awe of this amazing child we created together!!

Her personality is so overwhelming.. she plays for hours by herself with no worries she loves her play room and has recently learned how to reach the books at the topshelf and now brings them to us to read!! but i must admit my favorite new thing is her cooking skills... for Christmas Evie got a Elmo Kitchen.. and now she can see the top of it she likes to throw together all kinds of things, for instince yesterday she made us socks and eggs... VERY tasted!! yep just what it sounds like Evie had a play egg put it int he pan tok off her socks threw those in put it on th stove and taadaa.... socks and eggs!! LOL

Right now we are in countdown mode for Evie's 1st Birthday... and hope you will all be able to make it.. we have some GREAT suprises!!!

On the Health front... Evelyn is weighing in at 20LBS. and doing good, she will go back to her caridologist March 2nd for a review of her 2nd EKG! and as far as everything else, we had one seziure episode when she was sick early in the month and running high fever!! but as soon as it came on it was gone!!! Praise Lord!!

We have tuly enjoyed every minute of parenthood and are greatly looking forward to the next many years!!! God Bless, and May the Lord Be with YOU!!
